Opening Weekend and Early Trend

Udta Teer opened at ₹4.10 crore India net on its first Friday, ranking eighth among Ayushmann Khurrana's biggest opening-day collections. The film was released across 6,265 shows but recorded only 13% occupancy on day one.

Collections improved over the weekend, with ₹7.25 crore on Saturday and ₹8.20 crore on Sunday. The opening weekend total stood at ₹19.55 crore India net, with a gross of ₹23.37 crore. The worldwide gross after the first weekend was ₹29.12 crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted the film performed better than early estimates. He wrote on X: 'Udta Teer fares better than pre-release estimates... The slow start in the morning and noon shows suggested an opening in the ₹ 2.50 cr range... However, the evening and night shows picked up, taking the day's total to ₹ 4 cr+.'

Weekday Slowdown and Budget Context

The film witnessed a sharp decline on its first Monday, earning ₹3.20 crore. Collections remained in the low single digits through the week, with Tuesday at ₹3.10 crore and Wednesday at ₹2.65 crore. By the end of the first week, India net collection was reported at approximately ₹30.90 crore.

The reported budget of Udta Teer is estimated between ₹50 crore and ₹65 crore, according to NDTV. With worldwide gross reaching ₹50.03 crore, the film has touched the lower end of its estimated budget range. However, gross collections do not represent the producers' actual recovery, as theatrical revenue is shared between exhibitors and distributors.

In his review for NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee wrote: 'Udta Teer is diverting all right but one thing it certainly does not yield is the kind of hilarity that will have you rolling in the aisles. But it won't induce any major eye-rolls either even if it leaves you wondering what the whole point of the film is.'

Second Week Performance

Udta Teer entered its second week with a 26.7% jump on Friday, collecting ₹2.85 crore net in India. The film is expected to benefit from discounted ticket offers and the Buy-One-Get-One (BOGO) promotion. Taran Adarsh noted on X: 'Udta Teer remains on par with Monday on Tuesday, with the discounted ticket offer boosting footfalls... The Week 1 total is expected to be around ₹ 31 cr [+/-] – a fair result... The film has one more week to make the most of its theatrical run, starting this Friday, before #Ramayana arrives next Thursday [5 Nov].'

The film features Ayushmann Khurrana as a Pakistani spy who loses his memory and begins to believe he is an Indian counter-terrorism officer. The ensemble cast includes Sara Ali Khan, Rahul Bose, Ram Kapoor, Gulshan Grover, Mukul Dev, Raghubir Yadav, Brijendra Kala, Supriya Pilgaonkar, and Sandeep Anand. It is the second posthumous appearance of Mukul Dev, following his passing in 2025.

With Ramayana slated for release on November 5, Udta Teer has a limited window to add to its tally. The film's final domestic net is projected to conclude around ₹38 crore to ₹42 crore, according to trade estimates.
